The Final Push

And so tomorrow is the last day of our challenge for Prostate Cancer UK. Many of us are doing something a bit different tomorrow to mark the occasion. I did think about walking in my kilt but I’ll be at work (home office) all day so a bit pointless. Instead what I’m going to do is stand up and walk on the spot every 45 minutes while I’m at work. I can keep working and get moving towards my 11K for the day.

And why every 45 minutes? Well like the 11000 steps to represent the 11000 men in the UK who die from prostate cancer the 45 represents how often a man dies from prostate cancer in the UK. And that is why awareness and money needs to be raised.

So I’ve set a schedule (I’ve got an hour long meeting in the middle of the day to figure in). Set alarms on my phone. And prepared my desk for a day of walking and working. All I’ve got to do now is spam my Facebook and Twitter feeds with the link every 45 minutes. You have been warned!
