Edinburgh Kiltwalk

On the 17th September (4 weeks from today) I’ll be leading my “Chas does CHAS at 60” group of Kiltwalkers on my latest charity funding event in celebration of my 60 years on this here Earth. The Edinburgh Kiltwalk. 21 miles walking round Edinburgh in a kilt.

Here’s the team:

Ryan Doherty.
Ryan is an Early Year’s Officer with Daisychain Nursery in Kirkcaldy who is really looking forward to this bigger challenge having already walked over and back the Forth Road Bridge with his nursery workmates.

Angus McKinnon
Angus has worked for me for more years than either of us care to remember and is one of only three people that have intentionally joined me on a Kiltwalk prior to this year. On the 7th June 2014 Angus and I, along with two other workmates completed the Dunfermline mini-Kiltwalk. Angus also, in his youth, has climbed many hills and bagged more than a few munros.

Chrissi Jones
Chrissi is from Liverpool but is not a Liverpudlian she’s a Scouser. Please NEVER make that mistake! Chrissi is an accomplished runner at all distances. From sprinting in her early years to middle and long distance in her later, more mature, years. Chrissi is currently completing her “warm weather” training on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Daniel Doherty
Daniel is my youngest son and an Amazon worker who spends 10 hours every working day on his feet. 21 miles is going to be chickenfeed for him.

Charles Doherty
And so to me. As you should know by now I’m doing all this fundraising to celebrate my 60th birthday. So far this year I’ve completed the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 10K and now I’m back to what is one of my favourite events. The Kiltwalk. I’ve done a few Kiltwalks and they’re great events. It’s not a race, it’s a walk and everyone is there for the same reason. Not to win. Not for a PB. But to raise money for their specific charity. And you can help us. If you want to join us on the 17th and raise money for CHAS let me know and I’ll add you to the team. Or donate to any of the five of us on the links here.
